Al igual que muchos de ustedes, a mí me encanta estudiar idiomas. El japonés es uno de mis favoritos (Nihongo ga daisuki desu! = `¡Me gusta mucho el japonés!`, dicho en japonés). Sin embargo, me cuesta mucho memorizar los kanjis.
Just like many of you guys, I love learning languages. Japanese is one of my favourites (Nihongo ga daisuki desu! = ´I like Japanese!´ in Japanese) but I find that memorising the Japanese ideograms called kanjis is particularly hard for me.
Me parece que muchos de nuestros estudiantes se sienten igual cuando tienen que aprender los proverbios en español. Por eso para la clase de hoy les traemos un juego divertidísimo para ayudarles a memorizar 7 refranes súper populares.
I believe that many of our students feel the same way when learning Spanish proverbs. That´s why for today´s lesson we got a hilarious game for you to easily remember 7 crazy popular Spanish proverbs.
¿Qué es un proverbio? / What is a proverb?
Los proverbios o refranes son frases populares y muy conocidas por todos. Generalmente, tienen un estructura fija, es decir, se repiten una y otra vez usando casi siempre las mismas palabras y en el mismo orden. A mí me interesan mucho los proverbios de todos los idiomas porque expresan pensamientos morales o consejos.
Proverbs or sayings are popular phrases known by everybody. They usually have a fixed structure, meaning that they are repeated over and over again using almost always the exact same words and order. I´m very interested in learning sayings of different languages because they teach what is right and wrong or they provide you with advice.
En mi opinión, hacen evidente la forma de pensar de cada sociedad que los considera importantes y por eso los continua usando y repitiendo porque llevan en sí mismos enseñanzas que cada cultura cree es importante que sus miembros las aprendan.
The way I see it, they show you clearly the way a particular society really thinks. Each society uses again and again certain sayings believing that they are important because they teach something deemed valuable by society itself to its members.
Puedes saber qué es importante para una sociedad si prestas atención a las enseñanzas de sus proverbios.
You can learn what a society believes it´s important if you pay attention to its sayings and learn what they can teach you.
